He grew up around the world as an Army brat. He joined the Army at age 17 and was soon sent to Vietnam where he spent the next 18 months. He came home for a couple of months and then was sent back for another 18 months. The second time around he became a POW. He was awarded The Purple Heart along with many other honors and medals. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 20 years and then decided it was time to change careers. He then became a drafter for the next 20 years, in the oilfield business, and later aa a Drafting Supervisor with Caldive. He loved to work! He was always up early and always on time.

He was a simple man and easy to please. Just give him a chair and a tv and he was good to go. He loved to watch movies. He would cry with comedies and laugh at the tragedies. He was so funny. He loved to laugh and make others laugh! His favorite radio station was Blue Collar Radio, it was comedians all day everyday. He was just a happy happy man who like the simple things in life. Fishing was another passion. He always wanted to buy a motor home and travel the United States and go fishing with his tv! He loved to have family over at the house, even if he didn't visit, he just like them there. He also loved spending time with his grandsons. He spoiled them rotten! His family was his number one priority and told everyone just that, including work. Family comes first, always has, always will. He gave the best hugs. And no matter if it was when you first saw him or when you were leaving, you always got a hug and an I love you. He always said that. I love you. He spoiled Liz to no end. She was and always will be the love of his life. She was his heart and soul, the reason he breathed and did everything he did. He loved everyone. He never met a stranger. His home and heart was opened to all, you just had to help yourself to what you wanted. He never judged a single person. He was such an example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, so much love to give and so selfless and so unconditional. He left a legacy of love.

He was a good man. A great man. He will be missed. Until we meet again.
