 Jack Richard Case went home to be with the Lord at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness on July 10, 2010. The eldest of four children, was born in Des Moines Iowa to Raymond Eugene Case, and Lelah Stites Case, November 10, 1925. He attended North High in Des Moines. He trained at flight school in Army Air Corp when WWII ended. He then went to Drake University for a couple of years then entered the work force. He later met and married Diana Jacquelyn Mulchy, on September 13, 1952. He later worked as an optician when at House of Vision Optical. In the late 1950’s he moved his family to Houston and established Universal Contact Lens, with his brother-in law, James C. Dippery. He taught optics at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. In addition to the eye-care related organizations, Jack Case, was active in the YMCA, and the Special Olympics. He is survived by his wife Diana J. Case (Jacqui), sons, Rick Raymond, 55, and Christopher Robert, Case, 40, one sister, Patricia Dippery, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on July 20th, at 2:00 PM. at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home
