Both Mr.& Mrs. Gensemer were very dear to me. To me they were Mom & Dad Gensemer. I considered them my second parents.
Patty and I went to Jr. High and High School together, and were practically like sisters during that time. I probably spent more time in the Gensemer home than I did in mine.
They were both such a loving couple to each other, and to all who came into their home. What a godly example they were to me during those years, and I have never forgotten them and those precious times spent with them.
I can only imagine the reunion between the two of them, when they were reunited once again.
My love and prayers go to Patty, and all the family during this difficult time. I wish I could be there to be with you ALL.
Patty, you were such a loving daughter to them all through the years, and they were blessed to have you care for them in these final years of their lives.
Goodbye Mom & Dad G.....love you and will miss you, but look forward to seeing you again.
Until He Comes,

Dave and Pat were particularly close to my husband and I for many years. My husband, Nick, said he adopted them as his parents, since he had lost his a long time ago. Nick would walk them to their car after church and make sure they were OK and say his good-byes. We would sit in church together, sometimes we would go out to lunch after church and have a wonderful time.
When Nick was very ill, Dave and Pat would come to visit and try to talk to him even though he was to weak to talk, but sometimes he would smile to let them know he understood.
Once Dave drove to our ranch in Hempstead for a BBQ and Nick was scared to death with them driving up and back, but they made it just fine. They were very loving with each other and made you feel like there was nothing the tw of them could not do together. I loved being with them and I know that when they both went to be with the Lord that Nick was there to great them with loving arms. My prayers are with the family. -

Pat & Dave sat next to me in church (Cypress Methodist) for several years. I always looked forward to Sunday morning to get to see them and get my hugs. They were so great together and such a good example. I especially loved their "sassiness." We had some great visits. They loved each other and their family so much. Prayers are with their family for strength and comfort.

If flowers grow in heaven Lord,
then pick a bunch for me then
place them in my grandmother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek and
hold her for awhile.
