    Mica,

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I heard the news yesterday from my goddaughter (Nannette Elias) she went to school with him at St. Jeromes and I worked in the office part time.

    What I remember about Nick was his beautiful eyes. He was a good kid.

    I was Nic's 3rd grade teacher at St. Jerome Catholic School.
    We had a large class of 29 children~& I will never forget Nic's HUGE smile walking into my classroom every morning! I have often thought about Nic, Daniel, Jude & the others. We had SO much fun!
    My prayers & thoughts are with his family!

    Mica,

    I heard of Nic's death last night and it simply took my breath away. Tears still flow from the heart of a mother as I try to comprehend the loss of a child who was young, smart, witty and kind. I know first-hand that moms and sons are connected through the heart, even though they do not always see eye to eye. I also know you loved him very much.

    I wish I could fast-forward you through the pain. I will send my prayers of comfort as you move through the days.

    I met you when you worked at TCEQ. I rembember we went to Freebirds after a project. I as the "licensed front seat driver" going home from the pool party. I'll miss you. Rest in peace.

    you touched so many peoples lives and we will be forever grateful. as for myself, i met you when you were a teen and we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown. you were kinda quiet and shy at first, but jumped into the conversation and made us all laugh and smile so much. you will missed by everyone but forgotten by no one...
