Beverly Hooks, a longtime resident of the  Cypress - Fairbanks area, died Friday, the 5th of January 2018. Born in 1955 in Detroit Michigan, Beverly graduated from Kettering High school. Soon after, she began a longtime career, over 30 years,  with Southwestern Bell which is now known as AT&T. She retired from AT&T in 2008.

Beverly loved good food, socializing and being with family. She especially loved to prepare different types of cuisines, decorating, painting, sculpting, carving and sewing. She enjoyed watching birds in the garden and feeding her squirrels on the porch. She will be missed by all.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Werts, Doris Werts and brother-in-law Jesse Dennis. She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Hooks; son, Dewayne Hooks; granddaughter, Jordyn Skye Hooks; sister & law, Joyce Hooks; sisters, Patricia Dennis, Toi McWilliams; nephews, Deaz McWilliams, Shane Hooks, Terrance Hooks, Kevin Hooks and niece, Sharmayne Ford.
