Carla J. (Day) Buzzell died peacefully at home after a year and a half battle with ALS on May 26, 2017 in Cypress, Texas. She was 53.

Carla was born on May 18, 1964 in Presque Isle, Maine to James and Lila Day. She married Harry Buzzell in 1986, and they raised a family in both New Hampshire and Texas. She was a beloved long-time employee of Walmart (in both Somersworth, NH and Houston, TX). She loved spending time with her family, traveling home to New Hampshire and Maine, and watching her son, Christopher, play basketball. 

Carla is survived by her husband, Harry, children Angela (Gordon) Philbrick of Orlando, FL, Laurie (Isaac) Bustos of Cypress, TX, Brittany (Gabriel) Edgar of Dover, NH, Christopher Buzzell of Cypress, TX, Kourtney Buzzell of Cypress, TX, and eight grandchildren – Jamal, Madisyn, Desiree, Dominique, Caleb, Hannah, Juliette and Grayson. She is also survived by her mother Lila Day of Presque Isle, ME, three sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her father, James Day of Presque Isle, Maine.

A memorial service is scheduled to begin at 3pm on June 4, 2017 at Crossover Bible Fellowship, 12332 Perry Road, Houston, TX 77070. A burial will be scheduled at a later date in New Hampshire. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carla's life.
