David M. Thompson, 54, of Houston died May 7, 2017. He was born in Houston, the second son of James and Elizabeth (Clancy) Thompson. He graduated from Dobie High School.  Later he enlisted in the Navy, service dates 1/30/85 to 1/29/88.

In 2005 he was married to the former Mary Guajardo. They have 4 stepchildren. Mr. Thompson was employed by Archrock. He was a mechanic in the oilfield industry.

He leaves his beloved wife Mary; his stepchildren Sam, Edward, Daniel and Alena of Houston. and grandchildren Alex, Alyssa, Jade, Tre, and Cashlynn. He also leaves a brother James of Pearland. He also leaves a nephew Tommy and wife Natalee. He was predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth, a sister LeeAnn and his nephew Brice.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home.
