Margie Joyce Foster, age 89, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Houston, TX. She was born in Heights Hospital and grew up in the Heights area. Margie had two older brothers and all attended Reagan High School. She was active in many groups including Red Coats drill team, the glee club and the choir. She learned to play the piano at a young age and eventually became the organist for several churches over the years. Margie worked for several years at Humble Oil. When her department was downsized she left and worked at Forest Park Lawndale for awhile and then for Harris County in the Probate Dept. She returned to Exxon where she eventually retired. She also raised four sons during this time and still found time for gardening, traveling and several church activities. She was an amazing woman, a faithful wife and a wonderful loving mother she will be greatly missed.
