Michael W. Farris, age 53, went to be with our Lord and Savior after losing a valiant fight with cancer on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Mike is preceded in death by his father Leroy, mother Betty and brother Terry, all from Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Survivors include his loving wife Galina, daughter Vanessa, son Krasimir, all living in Houston, Texas, his sisters Darlene Stotler. Judy Clingerman and D.J. Stanley, all from Berkeley Springs, brothers Les, Bob and Pat, also from Berkeley Springs and brother Danny from Great Cacapon, West Virginia, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a Navy Veteran and worked as a mechanic for Wartsila of North America in Houston. His love, kindness, humor and friendship will be missed by all that ever came in contact with Mike or got to know him. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Chapel at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home with Mike's Celebration of Life at 6:30 p.m. Mike will be flown to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia for viewing at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 with his service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17th. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon, West Virginia.
