Michael Todd Wiseley, aged 54, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family; his wife Carrie, son Adam and daughters, Alaina and Jodi.

Michael was born on December 9, 1962 to Charlene Mary Hardin.  He was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma by his mother and two aunts, Wanda Miles and Joann LaVoie.

Michael attended Shawnee High School and the University of Oklahoma.  After moving to Houston, Texas, he received his MBA from the University of Houston.  Michael married Carrie Chagnon in 1996.

Michael worked for several years as a chemical engineer before branching out into rail logistics and software design.  In 2003 he returned to the oil and gas industry and eventually became a chemical trader.  The last three years were spent at Phillips 66 doing what he loved best:  trading, negotiating and strategizing.  He frequently commented that he had the best job in Houston.

Michael had many interests and hobbies.  He was a 32 degree Freemason, a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, loved history, reading, photography and the game of GO.  His most favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carrie.  His two children, Adam and Alaina and his stepdaughter, Jodi Bonhomme. His Oklahoma family includes his mother, Charlene Wiseley, Aunt; Joann Lavoie and cousins; Annette Miles, Barbara Fields, Jack Miles and Kay Warren.  He is also survived by several second cousins.  He was considered a major part of his wife’s family.

He is preceded in death by his aunt; Wanda Miles and his father in law, Del Chagnon.

Memorial services to be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10 am at Foundry Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
