Neal Alan Organ departed this life on October 27, 2017 after a nearly-two-year battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.

Neal was born in Shreveport, LA on July 22, 1954 to Fred M. Organ and Mary Ellen Maddox Organ.  He grew up in Shreveport and graduated from Fair Park High School.  He attended LSUS and was graduated from Harding University in 1976. At Harding he participated in the Acappella Chorus and the Belles & Beaux ensemble. In recent years he performed with the Texas Master Chorale. He loved sports, especially LSU, The Saints, and the Astros. His family has ordered a memorial paver to be placed in the sidewalk at Minute Maid Park.

He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Ruth Woods Organ, and two children – Alex Organ and wife Jenny of Dallas, TX, and Allison Phillips and husband Brad, and one precious grandson, Hunter Phillips, all of Houston, TX.   Also, one brother, Dennis Organ and wife Sherry, of Nashville, TN, and numerous extended family members.

His family and many dear friends will miss his wit, sarcasm and sense of humor.
