Willard Benjamin Joiner III, known to family and friends as "Bill," passed away on October 11, 2017, at the age of 72 years.

Bill, the eldest of four children, was born to Willard Benjamin Joiner Jr. “Bud” and Catherine Nora Joiner in Portland, Oregon on February 17, 1945. His siblings included Carole Lynn, Susan Kay, and Steven Ray.

Bill was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. Shortly after graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. 

Married the love of his life in 1972. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Paula, sons Bryan Michael, William Ryan and his wife Amber Kaye, step-daughter Tracy Alana and grandson William Gratson. 

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, October 21, at the Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9926 Jones Road, Houston, Texas 77065, with Rick Chandler officiating. 

The family kindly asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to either the VA (donate) or Parkinson's Research Foundation (donate).
