Alanna Smith Breaux, passed away on November 1, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Alanna was born January 16, 1976 in Houston, Texas to LC Smith and Marsha Lant Smith. She was the most bubbly, outgoing person anyone has ever met.
Alanna worked many years as an Executive Assistant for Harris County Health, before becoming a fulltime Mom. She really loved doing things with her family; hunting, cooking, playing board games, cards, crafts with her girls, bingo, shopping, painting pictures, and just hanging out. Alanna always insisted on helping her husband with household remodeling as well. She also loved spending time with her close friends, they would go on a shopping adventure every year in San Marcos, TX late in the summer, Alanna enjoyed this trip for the time with close friends, and for the time to reflect on her milestones and life goals.
Alanna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Charlotte Jeanette Lant and Marshal William Lant, her maternal grandparents; Dessie May Smith and Lloyd Clarence Smith, and her father-in-law, Donald Joseph Breaux. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Donald Joseph Breaux, III, step daughters; Kira Angeliquie Breaux and Makayla Jane Breaux, parents; LC Smith and Marsha Lant Smith, sister and brother-in-law; Melinda Pearson Griesbach and John Griesbach, nephews; Ryan James and Braden Allan Pearson, niece, Carlie Alanna Griesbach, mother-in-law, Karen Olivia Garner Breaux, sister-in-law, Leslie Anne Breaux, and niece, Amanda Kathryn Marie Breaux.
The two things Alanna loved most were being a mom, and dancing. We know Alanna is dancing painlessly in heaven right now, and looking down over all the family and friends she loves dearly. She was the most loving wife, mother, and aunt. Alanna will be missed by all who’s hearts she touched.
