Alexis Cassidee Hayes

A beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Alexis Cassidee Hayes left this world unexpectedly, at 26, on December 31, 2020. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 15, 1994. Daughter of Brad and Bonita Lehman.

Alexis was born with a diaphragmatic hernia and was not expected to survive after birth.  She spent her first six months of life at Riley’s Children Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. After numerous surgeries and countless sleepless nights Alexis defeated all odds and continued her life as a beautiful, happy, and smiling child of God. She was our miracle baby. Alexis had a wonderful joy of life. Her smile and laugh will be missed but not forgotten.

Alexis was raised in Elkhart, Indiana where she attended Eastwood Elementary and Edwardsburg Middle School. She continued her education in Houston, Texas at Labay Middle School and graduated from Cy-Falls High School in 2014. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  

Alexis was full of life whether it was taking care of her daughter, working on her garden, laughing with her sisters, working on cars and outdoor activities with her boyfriend, calling her grandparents, parents, and family, or enjoying spending time watching games and talking to her father about Notre Dame.

Alexis is survived by her loving daughter, Aleta Wood; mother, Bonita Lehman; father; Brad Lehman; siblings, Kateland Hayes, Abagayle Hayes; grandparents, Leland and Rachel Hayes, Sonya Hughes, Don Lehman; boyfriend, Phillip Graham; numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Heavenly Father is holding you closely until we will see each other again.
