Amelia Lopez Romo

Amelia Lopez Romo was born on November 3, 1934 in Agua de Obispo Municipio de San Juan de los Lagos. She was married to her husband Jose Romo for more than 25 years before his passing and raised a family of five in Van Nuys, CA and North Hollywood, CA, before settling in the greater Houston area. She will be remembered as a strong-willed woman who lived her life by her own means.

Amelia Lopez Romo, at age 86, in Houston Texas, passed away August 13, 2021, in her home of natural causes. She will be greeted in paradise by her husband, Jose Romo, her son Gabriel Romo, her daughter, Juanita Romo, and her siblings, Genaro Lopez, Hortensia Vasquez, Enedina Lopez, and Jose Luis Lopez. 

She is survived by her two sons, Jose and Joel Romo, her daughter’s Maria Martinez (Sammy Martinez) and Maria Romo Carrasco (Victor Carrasco), her grandchildren, Cynthia Ulloa (Jose Ulloa), Christina Quiroz (Sebastian Agudelo), Andrea Quiroz,  Steven Quiroz, Jackie Carrasco, Michelle Carrasco, Breanna Martinez, and Sammy Martinez Jr,  her great-grandchildren, Gabriel Ulloa, Mikael Leon, Cataleya Torres, Marcela Ulloa, and Christian Agudelo, and her siblings, Enrique Lopez (Didi Lopez), Graciela Elizondo (Francisco Elizondo), Francisco Lopez (Blanca Lopez), Angelica Gonzalez (Efrain Gonzalez), and Martha Barajas (Alejandro Barajas).
