Barbara Annette (Foyt) Gates

Barbara Annette Gates (Meemaw) went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 17, 2018.  Barbara was born on April 10th 1938 in the Heights area of Houston, TX.  The daughter of Lockey and Louise Foyt and sister to Larry Foyt and Catherine Gogol.  She graduated from an all-girl Catholic school, the Incarnate Word Academy and loved playing the piano.  Barbara became an accountant at Borden’s milk company where she met her husband and had three beautiful children.  Later in life she enjoyed watching soap operas, The Hallmark channel and Houston sports.  She especially loved watching her Houston Astros. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents and both siblings. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Karen (Mike) Martinez, John (Sandra) Gates and Donna (Randy) Graham. She leaves behind her four grandchildren Denise (Brian) Selvog, Trevin (Madison) Gates, Ashley (Cameron) Smith and Randy Jr. (Cheyenne) Graham.  As well as her five great- grandchildren:  Skyler, Sydney, Lyon, Nyle and Tucker.  Barbara’s greatest accomplishment in life was the family that she leaves behind. 

Barbara/Mom/Meemaw this is not goodbye for good, but goodbye for now. We love you!!
