Benjamin David Queen

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Benjamin David Queen, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away at the age of 64.  He was one of 4 children born to Richard Eugene Queen, Sr. and Mary Grace Queen, on January 10, 1959 in Meridian, Mississippi.

David grew up in Dallas, Texas.  He graduated from The University of Maryland with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He began his engineering career at Westinghouse in Austin. In 2004 He and his family moved to Houston where he became a local businessman.

David met his wife Suzanne in Dallas and they were married on December 29, 1990.  David and Subee had many great adventures together.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends, on the lake or at the beach were his favorite places.  He had a passion for golf, chess, and billiards.  David was the owner/operator of a successful pool and spa service company and was very involved with the local IPSSA community, serving as the chapter President for many years.  

David was preceded in death by both of his parents, Richard E Queen Sr. & Mary Grace Queen.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 33 years Mary Suzanne Queen, children Michael David Queen and Sarah Elizabeth Queen, grandchild Gideon Ray Gilmore, brothers Richard E Queen Jr. and Gregory Earl Queen (Jolane Queen), and sister Lisa Salena Castro (Gregory Castro).

David is gone but never forgotten, leaving his loving memories in our hearts forever.
