Beverly Ann Giddens

Beverly was born on September 16th, 1932 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Annalee and Loren Lemoyne Smith. She passed quietly in her sleep on November 7th, 2017.
All who knew Beverly will remember her for her hard work, awesome generosity, dedication and love for family. Game night was her stage. She taught us all how to play competitive card games, often reminding us of the rules as well as many of her own.
After the family moved to Houston, she began her profession in the hospitality industry. Beverly advanced through her career quickly from Hotel Desk Clerk, Accountant, to Hotel Management. She managed several of Houston’s historic landmark hotels including the Rice Hotel, Ben Milam, William Penn, and the Savoy. Beverly was highly respected in her industry.
Beverly is survived by daughters - Jill Bush, Amy Kulik, son Grant Giddens, sister – Terry ‘Bunny’ Wilson, sister-in-law Colleen Smith, brother-in-law John Wilson, and 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents-Annalee and Loren Smith, sons- Grover Giddens, John Giddens, sisters – Betty Rahman, Barbara Hairell, Kerry ‘Butchie’ Watson, brothers – John Smith and Bradley Smith.
She is deeply loved and will be sincerely missed.
