Brandon Collin McGhie

Brandon Collin McGhie was born as a twin with Brea McGhie on June 11, 1993 to his parents Collin McGhie and Alony McGhie in Houston, Texas. Brandon accepted Christ at an early age at Brookhollow Baptist Church.  He passed away on February 29, 2020.

He enjoyed traveling, humming, singing, eating and trying new things.  During his 26 years, Brandon accomplished so much.  After graduating from Cy-Falls High School he attended Prairie View A&M where he earned a Biology Major in 2015.  He then went on to Tulane University obtaining his Master’s Degree in Public Health in May of 2019. 

Brandon began his career at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital as a Research Coordinator while having a part time job at Best Buy for over 5 years.   

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Yvonne O’Hara and Ina Farquharson. 

Left to cherish Brandon’s memories are his mother, Alony Erica McGhie; his father, Collin Herbert McGhie; his siblings, Shimeka Antoinette Graves & husband Douglas Wayne, Malik Ivan McGhie, Malcolm Easton McGhie, Brea Alony McGhie; his aunts, Jean Stewart, Laverne Stewart, Neevie Carrigan, Anya O’Hara, Maxine Blair and Melisha Stewart; his uncles, Carl Stewart, Paul Stewart, Milton Stewart, Howard Blair, Denzil Stewart and Marvin Stewart; his many cousins.
