Brenda Sue Ross, 64 was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 5, 2017.

Brenda was born January 28, 1953 in Alva, OK. She graduated from Spring Woods High School, received her Bachelor's from the University of Houston, and then went on to pursue her Master's in Education from Prairie View. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Cypress, TX where she lovingly settled into the home she raised her family in from 1983 to present. When Brenda was not serving her family and doting on her grandsons she enjoyed fishing trips with her husband, playing bingo, hitting the slot machines at the casino, and voluntering at her church. Brenda was a talented musician who enjoyed strumming on the guitar, playing the piano, and singing. She taught in the Cy-Fair school district for over 40 years and upon retirement she continued to substitute. Her students playfully referred to her as "Ross the Boss" but she was the most influential, caring, and genuine teachers they had ever known. She had a true heart for her kids and their success. Along this journey of her life she was unforgettable to many people she touched, always making people feel welcomed and special. Every holiday she hosted Christmas dinner opening her doors to everyone, executing every minor detail, and making sure her Christmas tree got grander with each passing year. It brought great joy for Brenda to entertain and serve her family & friends.

Brenda is preceeded in death by her parents Donald and Gladys Hale, and her biological father James Grayson.

She is survived by her soul mate of 36 years, Harold Ross also known as "Buddy". Buddy worshipped the ground she walked on and after retirement they spent every waking moment together, they were truly best friends. Buddy and Brenda had one daughter, Allison Michele Schuetz. She also had her precious babies that were her pride and joy, her grandchildren; Kylie, Gracen, and Tucker Schuetz.

We will be celebrating the life of Brenda at her church; Community of Faith, 16124 Becker Rd. Hockley, TX 77447 on Tuesday, October 10 at 10 a.m. All flowers can be sent to the church. There will be a balloon release and reception in her honor to follow.
