Camille Adamo Hanlon, 85, of Houston, Texas died June 25, 2022 with husband Paul and her three children holding her hands.
She was born on October 11, 1936 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey to Michael and Rose Adamo. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Paul Hanlon; her children Diane Burke, Paul Hanlon, and Carolyn Damm (Kurt); her grandchildren Brian Burke (Brieanna), Todd Burke (Katelyn), Ariel Damm and Kayla Damm; her great grandchildren, Bradley Burke, Brant Burke, Harper Burke, Hudson Burke, Hadley Burke and Harlow Burke. She was predeceased by her sister Agnes Adamo Melillo and her brother Anthony Adamo.
Camille graduated from Lyndhurst High School where she met the love of her life Paul. They were married on September 7, 1957. Family was Camille’s passion. She had immense pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After their retirement, Paul and Camille moved to Texas from New Jersey to be with their grandchildren.
Sundays at 2:00 pm were for gravy and meatballs. Family vacations at the Jersey shore were the best. The whole neighborhood was welcome when the pool opened each summer. Hiding the last pudding in the refrigerator was the only prank she knew how to pull. Most importantly, laughing with her family was her favorite thing in the world. To know her was to love her.
