Carl David Layman, 75, of Houston, Texas passed away passed away April 27, 2020 from cardiac arrest. David was born on November 11, 1944 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Homer V. and Dorothy G. Layman.
David served in the United States Marine Core during the Vietnam War as a Rifleman and was a Purple Heart Recipient. David had a love for speed. He loved drag racing cars and racing CD Planes, RC Planes.
David is survived by his sister-n-law, Dorothy A. Layman and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Homer V. and Dorothy G. Layman along with his siblings, Betty Bailey, Patsy Martin and Homer Layman Jr.
A walk-through viewing will be conducted on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Cy-Fair Funeral Home from 11:00a.m.-3:00p.m. David will be buried at Houston National Cemetery.
