Carol B. Willis, 80, of Tomball, Texas, went to Heaven on May 20, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Carol was born to James Wally Thornton and Shirley (Wessenberg) Thornton in San Antonio, Tx, on May 4, 1943. She was the youngest of three children. The family moved to Spring Branch when Carol was a young girl. She received her high school degree from Spring Branch High School in 1961. As a young woman, Carol worked at Sears in downtown Houston and in a medical lab running tests. She married the love of her life, Martin J. Willis. She was a devoted homemaker to her family.
We will remember Carol for her loving nature, strength, tenacity, and fierce independence. She adored her family and made sure to tell them that she loved them at every visit.
Carol was predeceased by husband, Martin J. Willis, father, James Wally Thornton, mother, Shirley Thornton, sister, Shirley May Knowles, and brother, Milton Stephen Thornton.
She is survived by son, James Willis (wife Patricia Willis), son, Gregory Willis (wife Alicia Willis), step-daughter, Terri Martin (husband Tony Martin), and step-daughter, Vickie Hiser (husband Larry Hiser); six grandchildren Dustin Willis (wife Lindsay Willis), Kasey Williams (husband Jacob Williams), David Sanchez III (wife Melissa Sanchez), Emily Hogden (husband Jennings Hogden), Erin Willis, and Andrew Willis; seven great grandchildren, Aubrey Williams, Kenley Williams, Joshua Forsberg, Vanessa Sanchez, Riley Forsberg, David Sanchez IV, and Hadley Williams.
