After losing her mother at the age of 3, she helped raise her 3 brothers and sister and later became the mother of 7, grandmother of 11, and great grandmother of 7.

She retired as a seamstress from Levi Straus in south Texas was devoted to her family and was graced with the gift of service, offering prayer, support and her home to whomever was in need. Her children were her pride and joy. Her tenacity and faith never wavered through life’s challenges of raising a family during hard times and enduring two strokes. She was gentle but could be feisty matriarch who enjoyed cooking for and being surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed but we take comfort knowing that she is now where she belongs.
