Tribute

Brian Joseph Cernoch, 59, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2022.  A lifelong Houstonian, Brian was born on July 15, 1962, to Bennie and Irene Cernoch.  He married the love of his life, Pamela Ricardelli, in October 1995.  He was a machinist by trade and worked for Circle Welding most of his life.

Brian was preceded in death by his wife Pam, his father, Bennie, and his brother-in-law, Rocky Vogtman.

He is survived by his mother, Irene, his brother, Bennie, and his wife Marina, his sister Betty, his sister Barbara and her husband Jerry, and many other relatives and friends.

Brian was always willing to help his family with whatever they needed.  He spent a great deal of his spare time doing yard work and odd jobs around his mom’s farm.  In recent years he became a trusted pet sitter for Betty’s animals. He did all these things without complaint.

Brian was a big music fan.  He especially loved rock and roll.  He attended many concerts in his day and was always so enthusiastic about them.  He and I (Barbara) attended a Stevie Ray Vaughan concert once and while we were waiting for the show to start, he said “Can you feel it?  Can you feel the excitement?” He just loved being there, feeling the anticipation of the crowd.

Brian loved movies; he could quote lines from old movies at the drop of a hat. He’d also quote lines from old TV shows and expect everyone to get the joke.  He loved the newspaper comic strips (Bloom County and Red and Rover being some of his favorites) and he loved to do Sudoku.  He would send snapshots of comics to his family & friends if he thought you’d like them, wanting to share them with others.

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the chapel at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church 10135 West Road Houston, Texas 77064.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

“Life without you…all the love you passed our way

Angels have waited, for so long

Now they have their way

Take your place”   - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Rest in Peace, Brian.  We will all miss you so very much.
