Christopher Ehard Baender

Christopher Baender,  age 47, passed away peacefully on Thursday,  July 5, 2018 at North Cypress Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was born on June 9, 1971 in Vernon,  British Columbia,  Canada to Horst Baender & Shirley Denise Baender ( Wharton ). He was a graduate of Mechanical Design from SIAST, in Saskatchewan, Canada. He married Kathleen Yap on August 8, 2015 in Banff, Canada. He worked as a Mechanical Designer with Cameron- Schlumberger. He put love in everything he did. He loved work so much that he said " thank God it's Monday " where most workers say " thank God it's Friday ". He was passionate with his work as he was with his hobby. He loved big bikes, fishing,  and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Yap- Baender ( Kaye ), father Horst Baender, sister Monica Fitzmaurice ( Brent ) and brother Martin Baender ( Kameko ) , nieces,  nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and other whose lives Chris touched are invited to the Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Homes, 9926 Jones Road, Houston, Texas  77065 on Tuesday , July 10, 2018 from 4-7pm for viewing, and on Wednesday,  July 11, 2018 at 2pm memorial service ,  to reminisce, grieve, support each other , and of course , just chat.
