Curtis Norman (Smitty) Schmidt II

Curtis Norman (Smitty) Schmidt II, 48, found peace at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas on October 2, 2019. He attended Round Rock Texas High School. Curtis worked for many years in the food service industry in Austin & Galveston, Texas, Hawaii and New Orleans with many friends and co-workers until his illness prevailed.

He deeply loved his family, sports, and his dog, Mr. Peepers.  All will miss his kind, unique and gentle presence.

Curtis is survived by his parents Curtis N. Schmidt, Sr. (Pratt, KS), and Rosemary Gross Foote (Houston, TX), his brothers Robert Kent and Joseph Foote (Austin, TX), many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by a sister Dawn Kent, step-father Joe G. Foote.

The family in Texas will have a private service and he will be lovingly interred by his family in Kansas.  His Laughter will live in our hearts forever.
