David Everette Gibson, born to William Preston and Martha Napier Gibson, November 24, 1938 in Madison, West Virginia, completed his final tour of duty on July 18, 2020. SSG David Everette Gibson, proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years & 25 days. He then continued to serve with The United States Post Office (downtown Houston) for 27 years.
David was the baby of 10. His twin brother, James Edward, died when they were only 3 days old. Weighing only 1.3 pounds at birth, David was a fighter!
David was proceeded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. James Edward (twin), Niel Gibson, Melba Nasby, William (Billy) Gibson, Sam (Sammy) Gibson, Basil (Hoot) Gibson, Patricia (Patsy) Lambert, Eudora (Eudore) Cole, and Eileen Kracker.
David Gibson, Daddy, and Georgene Patricia Keating, Mommy, were blessed with 5 children. Collene Ruth, Correne Rose (twins), Jeffrey Allen, James Preston, and Davvene Patricia.
David admired his 2 son-in-laws, Steve Cheek (Davvene) & Kenny Seiter (Correne).
Grampa, adored his 10 grandchildren. Mark Wayne, Damien Preston, Darren Christopher (twins), Anika Nasima, Jamie Dawn, James Everette, Jayden, Brandon, Tristian and Chloe.
And then there were 2: Great Grandfather (Gampa) to Aria Amaya and Aliya Rose. Uncle to many. Billy Harrison (Patsy), nephew, his 'other son'!
Mr. Gibson was a PROUD AMERICAN!
