David Liddon Stockard of Houston Texas passed away Monday morning June 18, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.
David was born in Roswell New Mexico June 21st 1948 to parents John Burton and Grace Elizabeth Stockard. He graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico. He then enlisted in the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. After the Navy he moved to Findlay, Ohio and met the love of his life, Susie. They soon married and raised three children together. David worked for Ball Metal Company at the Findlay plant for 10 years and then transferred to the Broomfield Colorado Division. After he left Ball Metal, David and Susie moved back to Ohio, then to Florida and finally settled in Dallas Texas. David moved to Houston in February 2016 to be near family. He was a very kind and loving man. He valued his family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife Susie. David recently lost his father, John Burton Stockard, in November 2017. Previous losses were his mother, Grace Elizabeth, his half-brother, Freddie Elmo, step son, Ricky Clark and stepbrother, Rusty Lewis. He is survived by sons, Mark Stockard, and his wife Becky, Michael Stockard, and his wife Tiffany, stepson Donnie Clark and wife Carol, and his daughter Missy Enstad, and her husband Chris and stepdaughter Jana Browning. Brothers surviving are Roy Stockard, and his wife Robyn, Charles and Johnny Stockard. Also surviving are stepbrother, Danny Lewis, half-sisters, Connie Gurley, Rhonda Holbrook and stepsister, Vickie Jenkins. Grandchildren were his joy! They are Brandon Stockard, Mariah Sayalith, Matthew Stockard, Josh Stockard, Desirae Stockard, Madison Stockard, Nicole Stockard, Mckenzie Enstad, Kendall Enstad, Chloe Enstad, Nicolas Enstad and G pop to Grayson Sue Enstad and Jemma Stockard.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 11th at 3pm at the Crossbridge Christian Church, 15415 West Road, Houston TX 77095
