Dennis James Davey, 71, went to be to be with our Lord on December 21, 2018.

John N. Davey and Eileen Callan gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Dennis James Davey. He was born at St. Anne’s hospital Chicago, Illinois on Sunday July 6th, 1947. His Father John Davey worked as a sales supervisor at Standard Oil Co. his mother Eileen was a housewife. He was born on a lovely Sunday Sunny day, the high that day was 84. Denny went to Grayslake High School, he played football but hurt his knee. That injury stayed with him the rest of his life.

Here are Denny’s own words back in 2005 about himself:

I am an ex-musician played in a rock group for years on the road, played in a band down here in Houston for about 10 years .Then I turned Programmer. I played Lead Guitar and lead singer in a rock group... I have traveled all over this fine country. I have met many funny and strange people. That is what makes this a fun world. I would say I am a fun type person to be around. I love to listen to live bands sometimes I even set in It is hard to get the band playing out of my system. I love to dance and have a good time isn't that what life's all about To much work makes life a dull thing I have kept myself in great shape all these years thanks to my Irish genes Or is that Levi Jeans? I love motorcycles in the process of buying a 2005 Detroit Chopper soon. Update my new motorcycle finally arrived I am now a happy camper. I built one from the ground up turned it into a show bike. Should have kept it. I have been living in Houston, Texas since 1969 love it here. I don't have to shovel any snow go figure :)

Denny worked for Magnum Precision Inst. For 25 years, then another 5 years in Waller, as a programmer. He was a very hard worker, and always seemed to get things done, one way or another. He was a kind man, but definitely had an Irish attitude! He was so passionate about his music, and he loved riding his bike on a fine sunny day.

Denny was a member of Christ United Church of Cypress. After hurricane Harvey, he would go to the church many times at 6am in the morning to help with the rebuilding of this fine church.

I know he would be amazed at how beautiful it is turning out.

Denny is survived by Pamela Rae Davey, his wife of 23 years, his daughter Lisa Anne Davey-Krajewski, his son Sean Patrick Davey, his step-daughter Melissa Helen Starner, his step-son Taylor Ryan Mckerchie, his brother James Davey and his wife Denise, his little brother Michael Till and his wife Ramona. Also, a niece, nephew, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
