Earnest Talmedge Alexander, of Katy, Texas passed from this world into his heavenly home on April 29, 2018. He was born in Logansport, Louisiana on February 27, 1924, to Jefferson Washington Alexander and Mary Magdalene (Johnson) Alexander. He married Glenola (Whitehead) Alexander at North Central Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1948.
Earnest enjoyed many things in life, but his greatest joy was spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing , spending time at the beach and a good domino game especially a game of “42”.
Earnest is preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 68 years Glenola, his parents Jefferson and Maggie Alexander, his in-laws Gus and Lucy Whitehead, son-in-law Gerald Wells, brother-in-law John Ed Whitehead, great grandson David Brinkmeyer, sisters Christine Keels, Florine Jones, Katherine Wheless, Mary Ann Gaston, Margaret Lowe, and brothers-in-law, Marvin Keller and Pete Wheless.
Earnest is survived by his daughters Diane Alexander and Kay Brinkmeyer and husband, Gene; grandchildren Michael Wells and wife, Lisa, Jeremy Wells and wife, Barbara, Timothy Brinkmeyer and wife, Mischa, and Kasey Brinkmeyer; great grandchildren Morgan Wells, Anna Wells, Vivian Wells, John Wells and William Brinkmeyer; sister Alice Faye Bates and husband Herman, brother-in-law Jerry Lowe, sisters-in-law Anna Jeannette Keller and Barbara Jean Whitehead, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His grandsons, Michael Wells, Jeremy Wells, and Timothy Brinkmeyer, will honor him in serving as pallbearers along with son-in-law, Gene Brinkmeyer, nephew Clay Keller, and great nephew, Zachary Keller. Granddaughter, Kasey Brinkmeyer and Nephew, Calvin Keller, will serve as honorary pallbearers.
