Edward Joseph Kirchgessner, age 86, surrounded by his children, went peacefully home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 9, 2017.

Ed was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. After high school graduation, Ed served in the United States Air Force. Upon completion of his service, he attended The University of Houston and was actively involved in the Sigma Nu Fraternity.  Ed made many lifelong friends during his college years and was well liked for his fun loving personality.  He went on to enjoy a long career in finance.  Ed was an avid golf enthusiast. He loved collecting coins, gardening, stamp collecting and playing bridge. Ed also loved to cook. He served as a volunteer at Cy-Fair hospital and looked forward to his weekly service. 

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward John and Margaret Kirchgessner, sister, Martha Sebold, and brother, Jack. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Hinze and husband David, Carol Malcomb and husband Doug, Dana Taylor and husband Charles and by his son Mark Kirchgessner in addition to 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ed also is survived by his brother Jerry Kirchgessner and wife, Rebecca and niece and nephews, Elaine, Ed, and David.
