Edward F. Meerbrey, Sr., 80, passed away on May 2, 2017 after a long battle with an infection that both he and his doctors could not rid from his body.  A veteran, who proudly served his county in the US Navy from 1953 to 1957.He was a very hard working man who loved his family and was affectionately known as "Pop-Pop".Mr. Meerbrey was an auto mechanic by trade and a handyman's handyman who could fix almost anything.  He also enjoyed helping anyone he came in contact with who needed help.  He left everyone he knew with many great stories, a joke or two, and always with a smile.  He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest in the 80 years he was with us.Pop-Pop, you can be proud of all that you accomplished, and you will be missed and never forgotten.  Rest in peace.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Elaine; children, Edward, Jr. and Pamela (Pammy); grandchildren, Kristen Karlin and husband Mike, D.J. and wife Shelby, Carly, Natasha, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Gage, Jaycee, and Jordyn; brother, Mike Meerbrey and wife Janice;  and his sister, Maryjane.
