Edward "Eddie" Joseph Murphy-Correa, age 54, passed away on Monday, October 2nd. He was a treasured husband, family member, friend, and constant source of comic relief to all who crossed his path. Eddie was a man who spoke openly about everything that truly mattered to him, especially of his undying affection for his beloved husband, Leo Mato Correa. Leo brought Eddie such peace, and happiness, which were driving forces in Eddie's day to day life.  Eddie loved his friends and family dearly. He was never without a story, joke, quip, or tale to tell.  Eddie wanted to make people happy, and that is exactly what he did, every time he would share his cheshire-cat-esque grin with the world.  It was next to impossible to be anything but happy when he was near. Eddie was a fan of the Houston Texans, good food, great company, and could frequently be found on a Friday afternoon at Cafe Chopstix, enjoying a meal with close friends. Our dear Eddie was an amazing father to his cherished fur-babies, who are absolutely heartbroken, waiting by the door for their daddy to come home. He cooked them breakfast from scratch many mornings, and covered them in love and kisses throughout the day. He was an invaluable member of the Paymetric team, and had an unbreakable bond with his co-workers. They loved him like family, and the feeling was truly mutual. He looked forward to crazy sweater days, work luncheons, and special events where he was able to get together with his work family and socialize. Often times, on the weekends, Eddie could be found celebrating milestones with his friends, or sitting and enjoying a few drinks at George bar on Fairview. Eddie was very close to both the bars patrons and employees, and will be sorely missed. As many of you know, in 2009, Eddie started writing what came to be known as "Eddie-isms". The best way to sum up Eddie's life is to quote one of his Eddie-isms directly...."Don't deny yourself the opportunity to love someone. Love is just as great a gift as life itself. If you have both life and love, then you have it all. Many people go through life never having loved. For myself, I denied myself the opportunity to love someone because my fear was I would leave them heartbroken. I was once told that that was very selfish of me; to deny someone the opportunity to love me. I actually believe them now, and am a strong proponent of being able to both give and receive love, because in doing so, I am complete."

We want to welcome each of you to join us at both Eddie's viewing 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14th, as well as his Celebration of Life Service 10:00 a.m. Sunday, October 15th.
