Elmer Edward Albracht, a teacher to hundreds, a mentor to many and a friend to all, passed away on January 2, 2022 at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest with his loving wife at his side at the age of 82.

Elmer was born on June 3, 1939 in Nazareth, Texas to Florance and Dora Albracht.  After graduating high school he went into the seminary for twelve years, and was a priest for four years.  After he left the ministry he continued his career serving others as a college professor, Dean of student services, professional counselor, and training facilitator for Parker Palmer.  When Elmer retired he spent his time in the gardens, and was known to pull out his guitar at family gatherings to get people to sing.

He is survived by his loving wife Marcela Albracht, Brother Ralph Albracht of Nazareth, Texas, two sisters; Jean Kennevan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Elaine Sullivan of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Florance and Dora Albracht, brothers; Vincent Ramaekers, Ed Ramaekers, Art Albracht, sisters; Dorothy Doherty and Betty Wilhelm.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
