Elsie Marie Rollason

Born Friday July 13th, 1931 in Crumpton, Maryland to William Joseph and Bertha Pinder.  Marie was an adventurous young girl who liked to play basketball and explore the woods around the family farm. She found a natural talent for music, song, and dance at a young age, and developed it later to play in a band with her first husband.  She was very close to her 5 brothers and sister, who preceded her in death.  Marie moved to New Mexico as a young lady, where she found her home and passion for the mountains. She was an avid gardener and spend hours working in her gardens around her mountain home in Tijeras, NM.  Marie was a hard worker who later in life spent her time caring for the elderly.  Her always cheerful, carefree, and “I do what I want” attitude will be eternally missed.
