Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Gann announces his passing after a lengthy illness, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at the age of 51 years, at his Houston home.

Eric grew up and graduated high school in Galena Park, Texas.  He went on to proudly follow in his father and brother’s steps in working for CenterPoint Energy.  His last position as a Gas Measurement Analyst provided Eric with a challenging yet gratifying career. He decided late in life to continue his education through the University of Phoenix planning a Bachelor’s Degree in E-Business.

He enjoyed barbeque cook-offs, traveling, roller coasters and theme parks, casino gambling trips (where he excelled at craps and poker), he was an ardent fan of  The Walking Dead (early seasons) and Star Wars film, couldn’t get enough of his mom’s chicken and dumplings and he just appreciated spending time with his family. He was passionate about our Lord, politics and conspiracy theories and would talk anyone’s ear off on any of those subjects.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Lisa Gann, his mother, Lynda Kay Gann, his brother and wife Jerry and Marissa Gann, along with nephews Connor and Levi Gann, Jimmy Padilla Jr., Anthony and Andrew Cerda, Julien and Robert Padilla, Jr., as well as nieces Jessica Smith, Kaitlyn Crawford, Sarah Jo Bates, Sally Ann Frank, Sasha Henderson, Annabelle Cerda, and Veronica and Juleianna Padilla as well as many in-laws all of whom considered him a true son and brother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Wayne Gann.

Eric made a difference in all the lives he touched.  He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
