Eric Omar Salazar

On the morning of November 24th, 2022, Eric Salazar unexpectantly passed away at the age of 42. 

Eric was born on May 2, 1980 in Edinburg, TX. After graduating from high school, he earned a football scholarship and attended Texas A&M where he earned his Business Degree. In 2002, Eric met the love of his life Dina in Pharr, TX, married in 2005 and were blessed with two beautiful boys Cristobal (Cris) Rey and Ethan Michael. Eric enjoyed riding, fishing, hunting and being around family and friends. He loved spending time with his boys where he got to witness Cris shoot his first deer while hunting in Georgewest and Ethan catch his first big fish in Galveston. Eric was no stranger to the grill and with open arms and an unforgettable smile, he would greet you with, “Get yourself a plate, there’s plenty”.  He always did cook for an army. All that knew him, knew him as an amazing husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. 

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 17 years Dina, sons Cristobal and Ethan, brothers Jeremy, Daryl and Robert, Father Omar Salazar, Mother Belinda Acosta and Grandfather Ramiro Acosta. 

Eric’s bright smile, contagious laugh and generosity will forever be in our hearts.
