Our beloved Mother, Evelyn Warhol Boriskie went to be with our Lord on July 10, 2020. She was born March 13, 1935 in Bremond, Texas to Felix and Pauline Warhol. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Reagan High School.
Evelyn met the love of her life, who she was married to for 62 years, Lawrence J. Boriskie at a Polish Home dance and were married on January 30, 1954. Together they hosted numerous family holiday dinners, traveled and enjoyed life. She will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family and friends.
Evelyn always maintained that through God’s grace her biggest assets in the world was her three children Phil, Janell and Cheryl.
Her life centered around God, family and friends. She was a Life Member of PNA Koscuiszko Lodge 165, The Ladies Auxiliary KC #2917 and member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. She was also an active member of the Kolbe Seniors.
She was the most selfless woman on earth. She exuded love, strength, and honor. She was a hard worker and never turned away anyone who was in need. She made us laugh, taught us to love God, and blessed us with her endless wisdom. Mom was the ever positive, smiling jewel of our family. She always had a smile for everyone and when asked how she was feeling, she would always reply “I’m just fine. I take one step and one day at a time.” We will miss her spirit but will not grieve. We thank God for having her these many years and we know that now She is just fine.
The Family wishes to thank Carol Ashley-Thomas, Avalon Memory Care & staff for their loving care of our Mom.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Phil Boriskie and wife Kathy: daughters Janell Marin and Cheryl Burgess; 4 grandchildren Jaclyn Hildreth, Katherine & Matthew Boriskie and Nicholas Burgess; 3 great grandchildren Jayse Marin, Emily & Robyn Bates along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by husband Lawrence and her grandson, Jake Boriskie.
A viewing will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 10135 West Road. A rosary will follow at 9:15 A.M. in the sanctuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Rite of Committal at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
