Frances Irene Albright

Frances Irene (Michels) Albright,  81, of Houston, Texas died on January 8, 2022 of Covid Pneumonia.

Frances was born on August 27, 1940 in Houston to William and Billie Michels. Frances grew up in Houston and attended Jefferson Davis High School (now Northside High School).

Frances was a stay at home mom to her three sons, John Albright, Russell Albright and William Albright. In 1972 she went to work for Globe Discount City. After Globe closed she went to work for Smith Nut and Bolt and worked her way to the position of Vice President. A true accomplishment for a woman in the 1970s in a male dominated industry.

This was followed by tenure at Golden Age Manor Nursing Home as their Accounts Receivable and Payable manager. She did this so that she could make certain that her ex husband Harvey Albright was being well taken care of in the same nursing home.

Preceding her in death are her parents William Michels and Billie Hafernik (Kelley, Michels) Her brother Frank Michels, sisters Mary Lester and Doris Davis. As well as her son Russell Albright.

She is survived by her sons John Albright and his husband Jimmie Gast Jr. and William Albright and her sister Billie Kleiber.

Frances was a care taker. Always taking care of others. She enjoyed traveling with her son John to Canada and the Eastern United States and Walt Disney World. She also loved eating Mexican food, especially from Don Teos.

She would always claim to not be a drinker of spirits, but put a small margarita in front of her and it would disappear. She loved reading romance novels and working crossword puzzles and completing Soduku puzzles.
