Tribute

George Anthony Gillespie, Sr., 83, of Houston, Texas passed away on March 31, 2021. He died peacefully at home with his son by his side. George was born in Orlando, Florida and after his graduation he served in the United States Navy. Mr. Gillespie then went on to work for MCTS where he retired as a bus operator. He later went back to work at Metro Bus in Houston, Texas where he retired a second time as a bus operator.

George was married to Faye Strickland and is survived by his four children, April D. Becker, Kimberly E. Poenisch, George E. Gillespie and Angela D. Gillespie; 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Wendy, Jennie, Christopher, Megan, Brandon, Sean, Kevin, Melissa, Jenn, and Faith; 11 great-grandchildren. He will be truly missed and forever loved.
