To my sweet Sister Gloria. I am not sure why God took you. There was so much more you wanted to do that you did not have the time to. You were my Protector, Mentor, and good friend. We did a lot of fun things growing up, rode bikes to bear creek park, drove to Galveston late night, Ate at some of the best restaurants in Houston. We saw many a great concerts together with your Phone company friends. We often commented in conversation that our generation has been through a lot. We have seen a lot in our lifetime. I enjoyed entertaining you and mom on Sunday dinner. It was simple but I knew you enjoyed as I played music on the computer. I enjoyed surprising you with all the old songs from our past. You would always be amazed on how I could remember some of those old songs. There were times you were about to go home but would stop in your tracks and listen to "Just one more" song by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristopherson. We did not always agree on everything but the cool thing was we enjoyed an intelligentt conversation.. You will be missed. I know You and Mom were the best of friends and she misses you dearly. Thank you for taking care of mom and all you did for the family. You always tried to make the holidays special by making sure all things were taken care of. Till we meet again, Your Brother in Christ, Patrick.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Gloria's passing. My prayers are with Patrick and the rest of the family, especially Gloria's mother. As I posted on FB, I remember her leadership, friendship, and love during our time together in the St. Jerome youth and singing group "The New Way" (ca. 1972-76 or so). She was like a sister to me during those years, I appreciate her greatly. She had a lasting positive influence on my life.

Gloria was a sweet spirited woman - always kind and very giving. My heartfelt sympathies to the Leone family in this sad time of loss. Patrick and his mom have experienced too much of life's final time on this earth the last nine years with Ignatio, Jay and now dear Gloria - I'm sending you all the love and compassion so deserved. May God bless you.
