American Veteran 04

Greg Oldham

December 15, 1954

Tribute

Greg Oldham, devoted father and loving husband, has passed into the arms of his Lord. Born December 15, 1954, he was the first of four children born to the late Kenneth and Carol Oldham in Logansport, Indiana.

Greg graduated from Pioneer Senior High School in Royal Center, Indiana, in 1973 and joined the United States Army. He served his country for three years across several states and abroad in South Korea. Following his Army service, Greg moved to Boone, North Carolina, where he attended Appalachian State University and welcomed his first son, Aryn, with wife Chel.

Greg moved to Texas in 1980 at the suggestion of his cousins, who lived in the area. Texas was to become his home. Soon after he moved to Houston, he met the love of his life, and now wife, Cindy. Their son Jack was born in 1998. After working in several different sales jobs, Greg found an interest in insurance and began building a life-long career in insurance sales. From then to this day, he has built a successful self-owned insurance agency with hundreds of life-long customers who had come to rely upon and trust Greg for their insurance and financial needs, due to his expertise and straightforward, honorable nature.

Greg was an audiophile who enjoyed listening to music and collecting stereo equipment, taking day trips to Galveston, and supporting activities at School of the Woods Montessori in Houston. But Greg really enjoyed the simple things, spending time with his wife Cindy – whether it was going out to eat or just sharing the simple day to day moments together.

Surviving him is his wife, Cindy Oldham of Houston; his sons, Aryn Oldham of Pleasanton, CA, and Jack Oldham (Bryce Novarro) of Los Angeles, CA; his granddaughter, Savannah (Aryn’s daughter); his siblings Doug Oldham (Diane Bagley) of Logansport, IN, Kim Osbon (Mark Herrold) of Grass Creek, IN, and Chris Oldham (wife Conni) of Royal Center, IN. Greg is also survived by a large extended family that he loved dearly.

Greg touched the lives of those he crossed paths with, most of all his family and friends. We will miss Greg here on Earth, but he lives on in our hearts and continues to watch over us and guide us from now until we meet again.
