Harold John Turner, age 78, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas. John was born in England 1939 to an English father, Harold and his mother, Helena, who was born in Switzerland. As a lad, he grew up to excel at sports. He  played semi - professional soccer and had trials for England schoolboys. He also developed a passion for golf, often playing with his brother, Simon. John qualified as an engineer which took him and his family, Stephen, Linda and Mark to countries including Africa, Ireland and Texas, United States. He loved Switzerland, his second homeland and treasured the visits with his wonderful cousins.

In 1993, he married Barbara and together they lived in England until 2000 when they moved to Texas. Upon his retirement, most of his time was spent playing golf and sitting in his "English" garden with a view of his flowers and drinking a cup of Yorkshire tea. He will be remembered for his joy and fantastic sense of humor, his care and guidance of family and friends and his love for life.
