Jack Louis Norris passed away on April 29, 2019, surrounded by family, at his home in Tomball, Texas, after a long struggle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, May 10, 2019 at Silver Springs Baptist Church in Magnolia, Texas. Afterwards, he will be inurned in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Jack was born on December 23, 1946, to Jack and Dorothy Norris in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas in 1965. He attended San Jacinto College until he was drafted during the Vietnam war to serve in the United States Army.
Jack married the love of his life, Patricia Gayle Litton Norris on June 14, 1969. Jack and Gayle lived a wonderful life and shared a love for classic rock and riding Harley’s together. They had two beloved daughters, Dana and Brandie, that were the center of Jack and Gayle’s world. As a family they raised and showed horses and spent countless hours on Lake Travis boating and skiing.
Jack was preceded in death by his father who passed in 1989 from cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Gayle Norris of Tomball, Texas; his mother Dorothy Norris of Spring Branch, Texas; his two daughters, Dana Pack with husband Vaughn Pack of New Braunfels, Texas, and Brandie Mollard with husband Ron Mollard of Spring, Texas; his two brothers Terry Norris and Mark Norris and his sister Marcia Norris; his four granddaughters Lauren Cotton with husband Josh Cotton, Madison Dubose with husband Aaron Dubose, Faith Mollard and Elizabeth Carlin with husband Jay Carlin of Bangkok, Thailand; his three grandsons Wesley Pack, Joshua Mollard and Wyatt Pack; and great grandsons Holden Holt and Brantley Dubose.
Jack will be remembered as a wonderful husband, and a loving father and grandfather, but also as a kind and loyal friend to all that knew him.
