Tribute

Jackson Kerry Windham, born on October 8th, 1965 in Opa-locka, Florida to beloved parents, Riley Kenneth and Lucy Charlotte Windham, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 1, 2021. After graduating Conroe High School in 1983, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served on the Nuclear Sub, Woodrow Wilson. He was a Fire Control Technician where he maintained the launch system for the US Navy Poseidon ballistic missile system and achieved his Navy Dolphin’s badge, which is a submarine warfare insignia badge and considered one of the most difficult to earn in the Navy. His assignments included Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia & Holy Loch, Scotland. While serving in the Navy he became a dad to Amy, Sarah and Alex, whom he loved dearly.  Following his discharge in 1987, he took a maintenance position at Sam Houston University, where he also began his educational pursuits. In 1993 Kerry began his career with Compaq/Hewlett-Packard Corporation, where he worked for the next 24 years. In 1994 Kerry married the love of his life, Rhonda Lee Garza.  After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he went on to earn his MBA in 2008 from the University of Phoenix. In June 2018 Kerry began a new career as a Production Planning Supervisor with Toshiba International Corporation where he was still currently employed. Kerry wore many hats throughout his career and excelled at everything he did, leaving some big shoes to fill. Kerry was a music loving prankster who would scare you every chance he got, make you laugh until you cried, and loved like no other. He had a love of macaroni and cheese, minions and movies. He was generous, kind hearted, and a beautiful soul, who lit up a room with his silly antics and contagious laughter. He was well loved and will be missed by all.

Kerry is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Lee Windham of 26 years, his daughter; Amy & husband Wesley Alvarado, his daughter: Sarah & husband Zach Cox, his daughter Alexandria & husband Brandon Lucas, his mother Lucy Windham, his brothers Kevin, Keith and Kim, his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Lea, June, Clinton, and Chloe and many other loved ones.

His father, Riley Kenneth Windham and his grandparents Jack & Maxine Barnett and Riley and Blanche Windham preceded Kerry in death.
