Mr James Preston Lucas

James Preston Lucas, 80, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather passed away in his sleep on March 2, 2018. He was born on July 24, 1937 in Ennis, Texas to R.A. Lucas and Ola Mae Lummus Lucas.   James was one of six siblings and graduated from Ennis High School in 1956. He met the love of his life, Linda Louise Thornton in 1956 and they were married that same year.   James started his career in the Oil and Gas industry in Houston, Texas. He thrived in that arena and went on to own his own business. He retired early and spent many years with his family and pursuit of one of his favorite pastimes, Golf. Jim loved his family and spent countless weekends camping in the mountains and waterskiing in the local lakes.

James Preston Lucas is survived by his loving wife Linda Louise Thornton Lucas; his sons Ricky Don and Paul Michael, and daughter Vicky Lynn Lucas Crawford; grandchildren Christopher Crawford, Jennifer Crawford Leon, Allison Lucas Honeycutt, Jessica Lucas and Trey Lucas; great grandchildren Kassidy Crawford, Annabelle Leon, Hunt Honeycutt and Abby Honeycutt; Siblings Charles, Betty, Ima, Wendel and Joe.
