Janet Fae Evans Catron, 81, of Houston, Texas, was called to her heavenly home on the evening of September 16, 2021.  She was born on September 22, 1939 in Union City, Indiana, to Vernon S. Evans and Edna M. (Burkhardt) Evans. She was the youngest of four children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first born baby boy, Mark Brady Catron; brothers, John Evans and James Evans; sister, Joyce Evans; the father of her children, Billy H. Catron.

Janet graduated from Union City High School, Union City, Indiana in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart and father of her five children in 1958, Billy H. Catron, born in Cartwright, Kentucky. Janet spent her life selflessly loving and supporting her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and co-workers. She always put their needs before her own. She was her children and grandchildren’s biggest fan, never missing recitals, sporting events and school functions. One of her many talents was sewing. She enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren along with cross-stitching, needlepoint, and other crafts. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She even baked a family favorite cookie recipe for a local bakery. She had a love for Texas yellow roses and bluebonnets. She worked in various roles in the retail industry for 31 years. Janet retired in 2014.

Janet is survived by her four children, Amanda Marie (Andy) Atkins of Tupelo, MS; Beth Ann (Mike) Riggan of San Tan Valley, AZ; Jennifer Joyce (Jeff) Eshleman of Tomball, Texas and Billy Vernon Catron of Houston, Texas; and twelve wonderful grandchildren, Amber, Madison and her husband Tyler, Evan and his wife Chloe, Ellie Ann, Emily, Morgan, Grace, Gavin, Josh, Anna, Melissa and Holly;  and three beautiful great-grandchildren, Isla, Luke and Melody along with several nieces and nephews.

Janet touched so many lives from all walks of life and will truly be missed by all. Her sweet soul will never be forgotten.
