Janey Lynette (Bigger) Rice

Janey Lynette Rice (Bigger), of Point Blank, Texas passed away on August 25th, 2021 after an unfortunate battle with cancer. She was born in Houston, Texas on January 10, 1972.

Janey was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Leon Bigger. She is survived by her mother, Judy Bigger, and her siblings, Rebecca Janice Billingsley, Arthur Leon Bigger, and Henry Theron Bigger. She is also survived by her children, Kayla Alexander, Joe Rice, and Nathaniel Partain, and dear friend and co-parent, James Partain.

Janey had two grandchildren whom she cherished dearly, Addisyn and Oliver.

Janey was loved by so many people from all walks of life. She had cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many close friends that she cared about deeply.  She was a loving mother, an affectionate grandmother, and a woman of indomitable willpower and strength. Janey was a person of deep spirituality; an artist, a writer, a gardener, a musical connoisseur, a warrior, and a damn good cook.

An everlasting light that stood against an eternal dark, and nonetheless refused to dim.

A beautiful and loving woman who found joy in the company of her family, and peace in the company of the rain.

She will be profoundly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and we hope everyone who loves Janey can attend.
