I know John from his (and my) days in the photo industry.
So saddened to hear this.
John was the consummate professional and just a really great person. Always upbeat and I'll always remember his infectious smile.
My best to the Sowa family during this time.

Thank you so much. John wanted so much to continue living and fought very hard and never gave up. On his last day he finally asked our God to take him home.
Me and our adult children will miss him so very much. He was my best friend, my soul mate and such a great dad and grandpa Thank you for your sweet note.

Pam, Our prayers go up to our Lord for John, you Julie, Amy, Katie and John Jr.
John is now on another journey of Life Eternal with no pain, no worries or strife of this earthly life. He was Blessed with a wonderful caring wife, loving children, family members and friends. He gifted you and family with so many wonderful memories.
I will never forget the deeds of kindness & care John and you gave my Mom (Aunt Lois) and Dad (Leslie) for such a long time. They loved you both and I'm sure John is taking care of them in heaven right now with his big heart and smile.

Dear Pam
Please accept my sympathy for the death of John. I do believe that he is in a better place now.
We know that God is in charge and in control of every situation. We will come to Him not for an answer as to WHY, but we will come to Him for the STRENGTH we need to face it.
I know that the burdens are so heavy, and the way is so dark that we recognize our complete helplessness as we go through this valley of despair, unless help come from our God. Friends are as helpless as you; they do care and share but they cannot bind up you and your family's broken hearts, nor can they restore that which you have lost. So, with them please turn to God for help in the difficult days to come.
I pray for grace and strength that you and your family may face your sorrows with dignity and composure.
God will grant you comfort. He will speak to you and you will say, "Not my will, O Lord, however strong my desire may be, not my will, but thine be done!"
God bless you.
Remain Faithful
Rebecca

Pam, this is my third attempt to try to leave this message. My heart aches for you and the kids. I will keep praying for you asking God to be with you guide your steps and keep you strong. You are the greatest person the care that you gave John is commendable. When you can you must and have to take care of yourself. I hate cancer. Another great and dynamic person gone from this horrible disease.
I love you.

Sowa family: we mourn your loss with all of you. You all should have many wonderful memories to cherish of so many happy times with John. Take comfort in knowing that he is free from the pain he endured, and will be waiting for each of you. He fought valiantly... Rest in much deserved peace, John.

So sorry for your loss. Most of my memories are of others in the family but it is easy to see what kind of man he was by the family he raised. Time will heal the hurt but memories will live forever. Let me know if I can ever be of help.

John Sowa, he was a gentle and loving man with such a beautiful smile and beautiful hair. I never saw his hair out of place, that was a joke in our house how one day I was going to mess up his hair and he'd never notice. We shared many stories, laughter and some tears. Most of all we had a great time getting to know John, Pam and their amazing children. Tug is really missing his buddy and he knows that you are now our Angel, I know that you are looking down on us to make sure that we are all kept safe. Knowing that our John was a Christian man makes it a little easier to swallow, we will be together sharing more stories and more laughs. Love you our dearest friend and our heart is heavy now but yet full knowing that you are free of the pain. God Bless You! Love you always.

It has been difficult watching this unfortunate process take place as I knew John when he was in the photo business with a passion for doing the right thing and being there when needed. Now he is in a better place with no suffering and the ability to watch over the family and friend as he always has.
My sincere condolences go out to all that his life touched.
R.I.P. my friend!
